Paleo Day 17
Every movement we're doing today requires open hips at some point during the exercise. Just another example of how, no matter what the activity in exercise or life is, 99% of the time power is required of the posterior chain muscles. We can't forget the anterior chain, without which some movements would be impossible. But by a large majority, you can't beat the amount of power generated by those hips.
Workout of the Day
With the same barbell (guys 95#, girls 65#), complete 21-18-15-12-9-6 and 3 reps for time of the following exercises in this order:
Deadlift
Hang Power Clean
Front Squat
Push Jerk
Scale the weight as needed and go for broke.
Nice form Isaac!

I hate to miss this one...especially since I felt so weak yesterday and I would like the strength butt-kicking this would be. Maybe I'm gassed from 3 hockey games in the last 6 days? But it's playoffs and tonight is the championship game (before the new season starts next week)! I've got to give my team a huge amount of credit because I know I'm definitely not the winning factor here. Wish us luck...and hope that the other half of the team will show up for this game. I'm not a great player but my endurance/recovery is good enough that I've been able to play 42:00 out of 45:00 minutes when we have only 1 person on the bench (like the last 3 games). Crossfit at work!

Good luck Lori. I took a rest day today as well. Can't say I minded missing this work out. My abs are still killing me from Angie. When I fell off the Paleo wagon I think my recovery has been impacted. Oh well, need to get re-focused and ready for some FGB on Saturday.
