As we've been sharing all week, today's the day that TCF will do the CrossFit For Hope WOD. This is part of a huge fundraising effort on behalf of the entire CrossFit community to raise money for the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The mission of St. Jude's is to find cures for children with cancer and other deadly diseases through research and treatment. It is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance.
To show our supoprt for CrossFit for Hope, we are asking all TCF athletes to donate a minimum of $10 to the cause. To make your donation, click here. This will take you directly to the Triangle CrossFit donation page where you can contribute directly to our team fundraising account. Our affiliate goal isn't extravagent and easily surpassable if everyone makes a donation. Please, give hope.
WOD times today are 6:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 4:30 PM, and 5:30 PM. We will host a special parent/child TCF Kids class tonight at 6:30 PM for any family interested in doing the workout together.
Workout of the Day - “Hope”
Three rounds of:
Burpees
Power snatch (75, 55)
Box jump, (24, 20)
Thruster (75, 55)
Chest to bar Pull-ups
"Hope" has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. You move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of "rotate," the athlete moves immediately to next station. One point is given for each rep. Final score is overall reps.

I was really looking forward to getting back in this morning and doing this WOD, but I tweaked my back at work yesterday and it still doesn't feel quite right. Even after a good dose of a foam roller, it hasn't quite loosened up. Good luck to everyone that participates...I'm bummed that I won't make it in today.

207 rx'd, I didn't get as many reps as in fight gone bad, but I like this workout more

149 rx'd, wasn't sure if I could get any of the chest-to-bar pull-ups but thankfully I knocked out a few to hit rx'd. Not sure yet if I like this one better than fgb. I miss the push presses and sdhps.

I was way off my normal energy level. I enjoyed the workout - nice break from the dirty diapers! :)
Good luck to all the ninjas tomorrow!
