Triangle CrossFit is pleased to include Yoga on its schedule of current offerings. Practiced by millions around the world, Yoga is a great complement to CrossFit conditioning with its emphasis on balance, flexibility, strength and mental focus.
The TCF Yoga program includes three class formats as described below. Classes are offered at varying times throughout the month and are listed on the current TCF schedule. Each session lasts approximately 50-60 minutes.
Yoga Stretch - Ideal for beginners as well as those interested in a gentler approach to the practice, this class involves simple Yoga postures with an emphasis on relaxation and improving flexibility.
Yoga Flow - A more dynamic approach to Yoga, this class links breath and movement for an energizing Yoga experience. Postures emphasizing lengthening as well as strengthening the body are included.
Yoga Challenge - This format involves an advanced experience with more demanding Yoga postures and sequences linked together in an athletic style. We recommend a good level of fitness conditioning as well as previous Yoga experience prior to taking part in Yoga Challenge.
*** Yoga Workshops ***
Special workshops will be offered to help maximize performance of Yoga postures and/or using Yoga to help condition specific parts of the body such as the back and abdominals. These workshops will be of longer duration than regular Yoga classes and will be announced via the TCF home page.
Fees
Current TCF members = $5 per class
Non-members = $10 per class
Yoga classes must be purchased in blocks of ten. Participants will be given a Yoga punch card to help track their classes. One class equals one punch on the card with the exception of Yoga workshops which will vary depending on the duration. Yoga cards will be valid for one year from the date of purchase. (We're sorry but refunds for any unused classes cannnot be given.)
Classes are taught by TCF Owner and Trainer, Kimberly Hicks. Kimberly is a Level 4 Certified YogaFit instructor and has been teaching Yoga since 1998.
