There are no bad questions here!
At Triangle CrossFit, we love questions! We want you to ask them, whatever they may be, so that we can best help you understand what we do here and why. Below are some of our most commonly asked questions. If you don't see your question answered here, please drop us a line at and we will answer ASAP. Questions that get asked often may also be added to this page, so send 'em on over!
Q: What is CrossFit?
A: CrossFit is a workout program that incorporates many different aspects of fitness in order to make you into an athletically well-rounded human. It uses fast-paced, quick workouts that are different every day to optimize your time at the gym.
Q: What is a WOD?
A: WOD stands for "Workout of the Day". This is the workout programmed for the class.
Q: Why are there no mirrors on your walls?
A: CrossFit flips the globo-gym model on its head in several ways. One of those big ways is tossing the mirrors, tv's, and other distractions. We want you 100% focusing on what you're doing. Mirrors and tv's take away from that.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: There is no dress code at Triangle CrossFit, other than that we ask you keep your shoes on during a workout for safety reasons. Wear something comfortable that allows you to move in every direction.
Q: CrossFit looks really intense. Is it for me?
A: The best thing about CrossFit is that it is scalable to any level. We use a Level Scaling System at Triangle CrossFit. Typically, there are 4 different levels of the workout available to everyone in the class. There are an infinite number of ways in which to scale a workout, but our system makes it easier to know which level to pick that is do-able for you. If you are not able to do one of the 4 levels for any reason, your coach will have a movement appropriate for you!
