At Triangle CrossFit, we love questions! We want you to ask them so that we can help you understand what we do and why. If you have a question that isn't answered here, then please contact us!
What is CrossFit?
Why are there no mirrors on your walls?
CrossFit flips the globo-gym model on its head in several ways. One of those big ways is tossing the mirrors, tv's, and other distractions. We want you 100% focusing on what you're doing. Mirrors and tv's take away from that.
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code at Triangle CrossFit, other than that we ask you keep your shoes on during a workout for safety reasons. Wear something comfortable that allows you to move in every direction.
CrossFit looks really intense. Is it for me?
The best thing about CrossFit is that it is scalable to any level. There are an infinite number of ways in which to scale a workout. No matter if you have any previous workout experience or are unable to do certain movements. We can provide you a great workout everyday! Click Here to find out more!

I’m scared/nervous/don’t think I’ll fit in…
We’ve all been the ‘new kid’ in class! Everyone at TCF is open and friendly to new-comers. We promote a family atmosphere of support and camaraderie among our members. Our staff and members will take you under their wing and help you through your introductory period. Everyone remembers what it was like at their first class and we all want to see each other succeed. Most importantly, we won’t ever have you do something that you are uncomfortable with.
How will this help me get ready for (insert your sport or event here)?
The beauty of CrossFit and our other programs are that they develop a very broad base of fitness to make you capable of handling any task that life throws your way from a Spartan Race to the Fire Academy. You will also gain the confidence in yourself to know that if you can complete a workout here, a day at work isn’t really all that tough!
Will I get big muscles from this?
CrossFit builds fitness. Fitness is “increased work capacity across broad time & modal domains". Increased fitness improves your cardio which increases your daily calorie burn. Increased fitness includes stronger muscles and less fat. However, muscles will not suddenly sprout from your clothing after training with weights. Increasing muscle size is a very long and arduous process that can take most people multiple years to experience.
What about cardio? Will I need to do extra stuff outside of the gym to keep my stamina and endurance, or to burn more fat?
Do I need to be in shape before starting CrossFit?
