com·mu·ni·ty noun: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
Without you, this pursuit towards a life of health and fitness for our community would be for nothing.
I've been waiting for a platform that seemed appropriate enough to write to you. I think I've found it. I do hope you enjoy it as well.
The community of friends we have developed at Triangle CrossFit is unmatched. I can confidently say, after being a part of many other CrossFit gyms in the past, that this is something special. Thank you for making this a great place for so many people to come and forget their troubles for an hour.
Nothing brings a gym together quite like the atmosphere and challenge of The CrossFit Open. This post is partially to encourage you to get signed up at games.crossfit.com before draft day, but also to remind you of what we're all about!
Arrive on time.
Say hello to your friends.
Catch up on life during your warm up.
Be ready to continue warming up together as a group. It's more fun that way! Be confident in your workout plan. If you aren't, ask your coach for help. We want you to ask those tough questions! Your fitness goals are our specialty. Pick your coaches' brain. You can learn something new every time you step through these doors. Sometimes you just have to ask.
Try to take away one new piece of information every time you come to the box.
Then get to work. Put in the effort. Leave it all on the floor. You CAN do this workout.
I've seen all you are capable of. Don't doubt your abilities.
Cheer on your friends when you're finished. And wait to put away your equipment until everyone is finished with the WOD. Because that's what it's all about in the end. Being there for each other as we go through this thing called life.
Even if you're dead last, YOU just did that! Be proud and get up to fight another day.
