Don’t Forget Your Workouts During the Holidays
The holidays are upon us, which means you are probably busier than ever. Decorating, shopping, Christmas parties, traveling, and much more. Do you find that your workouts suffer during the holidays? Is it harder to make it to the gym on a regular basis? For most people, the answer is yes. So this year, what can you do to ensure that you get in your workouts?
MAKE IT A PRIORITY. We all have to juggle things to fit everything into our day. Be sure to make the commitment to the gym.
CONSIDER A DIFFERENT CLASS TIME. If you are having trouble making it to the class time you normally attend, try a different one. Hopefully you’ve noticed that the class offerings have significantly been expanded at Triangle CrossFit recently. We have daily 6:00 am, 8:30 am, 9:30 am, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:30 pm classes. In addition, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we also have a 5:00 am and 11:30 am class. So, if your evenings are full of parties and cheer, come in with the early birds and get your workout in before you start your day!
TRY AN AT HOME WORKOUT. Many of our CrossFit movements can be done in the comfort of your home (or hotel gym). Now, we don’t advocate consistently missing classes of course, but every now and then, it won’t hurt to get your workout in at home. This blog offers “20 CrossFit Workouts You Can Do at Home.”
FIT IT PHYSICAL EXERCISE WHILE TRAVELING. If you are traveling to visit your friends and family, do a little research into what options are around for physical activity while spending time with your loved ones. For example, this NC Parks website lets you search through hundreds of miles of state parks and trails to find the ones closest to you. Many even have scavenger hunts for the kids too!
